T.D. MacLulich was born in Brandon, Manitoba in 1943. He receiveda B.A. from the University of Toronto, an M.A. from Simon Fraser University, and a Ph.D. from York University. In 1967 he was awarded the University of Toronto's E.J. Pratt Medal for Poetry. He is now teaching English at the University of Victoria.
