A reader of audiobooks since the mid-‘90s, Franette has read titles ranging from fiction to self-help. She has acted with companies including Steppenwolf, Apple Tree Theatre, and Terrapin Theatre (of which she is a company member) in productions including Aunt Dan and Lemon (After Dark Award - Best Ensemble), Broadway Bound (After Dark Award - Best Ensemble, Jeff Nomination - Best Production) and Shadowlands. Franette also does commercial voiceover work and teaches theatre at Northwestern University in their National High School Institute.
