Sarah Hillewaert is an Assistant Professor of Linguistic Anthropology at the University of Toronto. Her research looks at language, everyday Islam, and questions of morality among youth in Eastern Africa. She has published articles in the Journal of Linguistic Anthropology, American Anthropologist, and Africa.
