Karen is an artist and creative writer currently finishing up her Specialized Honours B.A. in English Literature at York University. Her interests include postmodern fiction, experimental poetry, conceptual writing, post-postmodernism, cultural theory and multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary art. She is in the process of writing her Honours thesis on late nineties postmodern Canadian literature under the mentorship of Professor Stephen Cain. In August of 2008 she founded Steel Bananas, an online arts and culture zine dedicated to publishing young, creative, critical Canadian perspectives on the arts and modern urban culture.
