Jackie Cameron and her family had horses and raised beef cattle on their farm near Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Her three children often helped move cattle from one pasture to another. She worked for many years at Swift Current’s public library, and at the central resource centre of both the Prairie West School Division and the Chinook School Division, which enabled her to travel to many schools in southwest Saskatchewan to assist librarians and teachers with classroom resource materials. Now retired, Jackie lives on an acreage outside of Swift Current, where she indulges her passion for reading and writing. She is involved in Write Out Loud, which organizes presentations by nationally and internationally acclaimed authors at the Lyric Theatre in Swift Current, and is part of a small group that provides books to local seniors.
