Ross Belot now lives in Hamilton Ontario but grew up in communities across all over Ontario, always living close to the Great Lakes. In recent years he has spent time on the west coast and in Banff area and his writing reflects these varied landscapes. He began writing poetry while attending McMaster University’s creative writing program as an escape from his day job. He has been active in Hamilton’s local literary scene, and a member of the executive and editorial board for Tower Poetry. He is currently a member of the executive of the Hamilton Poetry Centre. His writing has appeared in a number of local literary journals and anthologies and was recently rofiled in two Mexican journals. This is his first collection. The manuscript was developed under the Banff Centre’s Wired Writing Program.
