Born in England, Carol Allain grew up in St. Lucia and Toronto, Canada. She works as a counsellor in a shelter for assaulted women and children and is a member of the Black Women's Collective. Carol appeared in the film Sisters in Struggle, documenting the political activism of Black women in Canada. This is her first experience creating an anthology and she wouldn't mind doing it again.
