About the authors

A.J. Diamond studied at the University of Cape Town, at Oxford, and the University of Pennsylvania, where he excelled both academically and athletically. He is one of the world’s most prominent and innovative architects, a Royal Architecture of Canada Gold Medallist, an Officer of the Order of Canada, and a member of the Order of Ontario. He lives in Toronto.

Donald Schmitt's many projects include the University of Guelph-Humber Building. A distinguished architect and a founding chair of Toronto's Public Art Commission, he is currently a member of the Advisory Committee on Planning Design and Real Estate of the National Capital Commission in Ottawa.
