Wordless celebrates 40 years of Haiku Canada: a society of haiku poets and enthusiasts dedicated to promoting the creation and appreciation of haiku, and fostering communication, friendship, and mutual support among haiku poets in Canada and abroad. A unique anthology, Wordless is more than the usual collection of three-line poems. It’s a story of the paths poets have taken to write their best haiku, a contemporary history of Haiku Canada members who write in English and French. This is a collection to browse through – along with the process of learning to write haiku, you will find reminiscences of the poets’ favourite moments and mentors, right through to the poems they are proud to have published in this anthology.

Marco Fraticelli is the publisher of the Hexagram series of haiku books, and has edited numerous anthologies including Carpe Diem, Borealis Press / Les Éditions David.

CLAUDIA COUTU RADMORE is a Montrealer who writes and paints in Carleton Place, Ontario. A former teacher who has taught in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, and China, Claudia trained teachers in the South Pacific for three years. Her first publication was a pre-school manual in Bislama, one of the national languages of Vanuatu.
