Description
This is the first major exhibition in North America of the work of an expatriate Canadian painter of the last century whose Swedish home became an art gallery. Bruce's work shows the impact of Impressionism in a tentative way through various details of composition and brushwork. Bruce associated himself with Canadian art though living in Sweden and welcomed young Canadian artists who sought his advice and studied his work.
