When David Booth chose nature to be the theme of this poetry anthology, he understood two things: nature has always been a source of inspiration to great artists, and children are excited by nature's curiosities. The 20 poems David Booth selected reflect this fascination with nature. The poetry is from poets who have lived all over the world. Robert Louis Stevenson brushes shoulders with Emily Bronte. About the authors
David Booth was Professor Emeritus at OISE–University of Toronto, where he trained teachers to use innovative ways to promote literacy among children for more than 30 years. A prolific author and popular international speaker, David delighted thousands with his energy, enthusiasm, and commitment. Although David passed away in 2018, his dedication to literacy, and his superb body of work in the field, form a lasting legacy in Canadian education.
David Booth is a university professor, author and anthologist of more than thirty books. His lives in Toronto, Ontario.
