Description

It's lambing time at the farm! Meet Timmy and Tina, tiny newborn lambs in need of some extra care. When mother ewe is unable to feed her babies, Mrs. Jane is happy to help. Timmy and Tina drink special formula from bottles, nibble on tender spring grass, and explore their foster home. As the days grow longer, the lambs grow bigger, stronger, and more adventurous. The arrival of a new flock brings new experiences, funny adventures, and the most crowded little barn you could ever imagine! Tina is ready for even more, but Timmy is reluctant.

Will Timmy and Tina find a way to be together?

Will the flock find a leader?

Will Timmy find his courage?

Readers young and old will be touched by this sweet barnyard tale of birth, growth, and coming of age. With love, care, and time, even the timid can be brave.

About the author

Editorial Reviews

I purchased two of the hard cover books and I was immediately struck by the texture of the covers, a professional layout and a high quality finish. The colour graphics and images on the covers are quite soothing enticements to quickly open the book. The back cover narrative gives the reader a good sense of the story line and expectations. Not many get to experience life on a farm. The author carefully and strategically portrays life on a farm through the eyes of two newborn lambs who share their curiosity, growth, experiences and adventures in a family (flock) setting. Many important life lessons are learned; caring for and respecting one another, sharing, developing, courage and leadership. The colourful pictorial graphics made me imagine and visualize the lambs, flock and other barnyard animals interacting with one another much like humans. I thoroughly enjoyed this book as an adult but I am looking forward to reading it with children in our family as it should be and I anticipate all their questions, discussions and joyful laughter. This book and author are award winners! An absolute must read for family!

User Reviews

A Must Read For Children Young and Old

I give this fantastic children's book or a book for all ages a five star rating. For me, it is evocative, visually engaging with the colourful yet playful images and is quite entertaining. Life’s fragile beginnings, struggles, nurturing, bonding, protection, maturation summed up in what a real family truly means, is seen and portrayed through the eyes of two innocent lambs. Lessons in kindness, cooperation, respect, support, courage and leadership are succinctly blended into the story. Timmy and Tina should be added to elementary school programs as it is very educational. This book and author should also be recipients of several awards! I hope the author plans a sequel to this book as I am certain there are many other lessons to learn from the eyes of barnyard animals!
