Michael Davenport is an English journalist employed by an occult magazine Enigma. What starts off as a leisurely bus ride from Miami to Los Angeles ends up as a gruesome, at times gothic, adventure in the drug infested city of Juarez, Mexico, the city CBS News called the “murder capital of the world.? The unsuspecting journalist enters into this world of drugs, cartels, corruption, violence, and much more. The story starts in El Paso, one morning at dawn, when Michael Davenport absent-mindedly crosses the shallow Rio Grande river while trying to film an enormous white Siberian tiger. He inadvertently enters Juarez. His misadventure begins and it propels him into the very seedy side of Juarez, as he explores the epicenter of the drug trade, its operations, and its bloody and bizarre characters.
