Description

Jean Lafitte was a pirate and a privateer, unafraid to exploit anyone or anything. But Lafitte also defended New Orleans against the British during the War of 1812 and died a national hero, leaving behind a legendary treasure hidden somewhere in the bayou of Louisiana. Two centuries later, the Cali family arrive in New Orleans to rescue locals stranded on the bayou, misplaced from their homes recently by a hurricane. But their hard work is soon interrupted by a series of events too strange to be ignored, as a growing sense of menace descends like a new storm. Is black magic still running rampant on the bayou, reminiscent of the days of Jean Lafitte? Or is something—or someone—much more sinister haunting the Cali family?
