Excerpt: The School Tales: The Screamer (by (photographer) Lana Guzman; by (author) Edgar Guzman)
Once again it was Tuesday, the day of the week full of physical activities. Some schools called it athletics, while others physical education. But for some reason, some kids in the class were not very enthusiastic about this part of the curriculum. Kids were normally expected to leave classrooms stampeding. Not in that class and certainly not with that instructor. The kids were not very connected to the person responsible for their physical and health education. They were always reluctant to get ready for their weekly learning experience that was so important in their development. Nonetheless, the kids had no problem at all playing on their own without the intervention of their highly regarded instructor. Maybe the kids were not ready for such an overqualified teacher, or maybe the curriculum was too advanced for the kids, or maybe the why was just a mystery. In any case, one thing was clear for sure.
