Excerpt: The Office Legends: An Experimental Theatre (by (author) Lana Guzman; photographs by Edgar Guzman)

The experimental theatre was a large and also a very dark place. Somehow the founders of the company, the retired actors, who could no longer get any roles in the actual theatre or on screen, decided to try their luck catering to offices, big and small, where, as they well knew, someone was always looking for new teambuilding-event ideas. Their offering was simple: for a relatively small fee, a group of up to twenty individuals could come in and try themselves in an amateur and flamboyant theatrical expression. In other words, they were selling the idea of people making fools of themselves and, preferably, of others.
