Editorial Reviews

An excellent read! It provides a thorough description on how social media can elevate your brand to new heights. If you're an artist looking to take your brand to the next level, this is your book.

Dawn Richard, multi-platinum R&B recording artist, formerly of Danity Kane and Diddy's Dirty Money

Musicians need to face the fact that living a life in music is a privilege to earn through hard work, innovation and collaboration. Artists need to take risks and push the edges of creative expression by embracing the reality that nothing about music is normal anymore. The number of new artists entering the market is greater than ever and that means more competition for a smaller slice of an already shrinking pie. This book is a great guide to how to move your career forward in this very competitive environment.

The New Rockstar Philosophy just makes sense. It's five years of industry wisdom wrapped up into a solid, quick read.

Jack Conte, half of indie duo Pomplamoose

One of the most useful books I've ever read to understand how music works these days. It made me focus on the really important questions: "Who am I as an artist?""Who is my audience?,""Why am I doing this?" For me it was a life changer.

Tommaso Colliva, 2013 Grammy-nominated engineer and producer, worked with Muse, Twilight Singers, Calibro 35

An outstanding guide for the Internet-era D.I.Y. musician who wants to thrive in today's post major label music industry...This book is a great guide that will get you looking at the business of music in a whole new way.

Michael Franti & Spearhead

Profound ideas combined with actionable insights — this book captures a decade of thinking about why the music industry has changed and how artists can thrive in this new digital world.
