Description

You are hardly the only person on the face of the Earth to have graduated with that degree form that prestigious University. So, how do you make sure your CV stands out of the crowd of your peers and those who had graduated a year, two, three, or more before you did? I discuss this and more in this chapter.

Excerpt: The Get-It-Done CV: Create a CV That Will Land You Your Dream Job: Chapter 2 (by (author) Lana Guzman; photographs by Edgar Guzman)

Every CV has this part. One reason is that we all have something to put in there. The other reason is that everybody expects to see it, no matter if you are 15 or 95. Whatever your situation is, make this part as long as you possibly can, but do not overcrowd it with things that do not belong. Unlike the summary, this part also requires quite a bit of formatting to make sure that your reader perceives the most important parts and still notes the rest. Your goal here is to convey to your reader that you are sufficiently educated, and skilled, to perform the job you are applying to perform.
