Excerpt: The Countryside Stories: Johnny Is BBQing or Is He? (by (photographer) Lana Guzman; by (author) Edgar Guzman)

The time has come when Johnny was looking not only to fit in the neighbourhood, but also to be accepted and maybe even respected. To get some inspiration he watched TV and went to the movies, read magazines and was searching through almost anything that he could get his hands on, but nothing really stuck with him. That was especially true when physical activity and social contact would be involved. Just looking at people socializing was already annoying to him. As strange as it could appear, Johnny always dreamed of being in the middle of a social circle where he could mean something to the rest of the people. Maybe that could explain his fixation on observing social interactions of people when walking through a park on his way to work. Most of the parks are equipped with outdoor BBQs grill spots where people can bring their food, beverages, wood or coal, music and everything needed to enjoy each other's company in the open air.
