Description

In The Chinese Execution, Polly Fleck uses the framework of a dream-like diplomatic reception to suggest, on the one hand, violent events thought to be occuring off-stage, and to display, on the other hand, the intimate details of real life. Reality so misty it might be a dream is intertwined with dreams so precise they might be reality.
