Description

"Chickadee wondered why Woodpecker would not let her have anything to eat. 'The feeder is filled to overflowing,' she thought, 'and there is plenty of seed to go around.'"
Greedy woodpecker won't share the delicious seeds in the bird feeder with the other birds. They are always chased away and left to find seeds that have fallen to the ground. Chickadee comes up with a plan and gets woodpecker to chase him away again — but this time the chase will go longer and farther away. When Woodpecker realizes he has become lost he understands he should have been kinder and offered to share. And when he finally gets back to the bird feeder, the chickadee, finches, and nuthatches welcome him to share the yummy seeds with them.
