Description
Iron Crow embarks on a life-saving vision quest, meeting guardian wolves, three great First Nations chiefs, and his own Blackfoot ancestors. After facing death in encounters with a rattlesnake, stampeding buffalo, and an angry grizzly, his greatest challenge is to unite Johnny with his only hope for survival: a long-dead medicine man. Using his science teacher’s time travel device, Max takes Johnny and their friend Bree, a Métis girl, back to an 1899 celebration in honour of Alberta’s renowned Father Lacombe. Time soon becomes the enemy, as the medicine man proves elusive and, with minutes to spare, Max can only save Johnny by running—and winning—the toughest race of his life.
