About the author
J. Leslie Johnson, a native of Alberta, Canada was born and raised near the Canadian Rockies. She fell in love with the mountains more than 20 years ago and has been exploring them ever since. Graduating with degrees in English and Classics, and 16mm Film and Television, Johnson has written extensively about the Rocky Mountains. Her work includes several film, as well as television programs, slide/tape presentations and magazine articles. The subject matter ranges from landscape sculpturing by water erosion to a social history of Canada's first national park. Currently, Johnson works as a freelance writer and editor.
