Description

The first book in this high-low series for struggling or reluctant readers: Not at all, an everyday, typical Christmas story! A fifteenth birthday and a drug bust in the midst of a global pandemic. Pretty sure this will turn out to be, some Christmas.

About the author

Editorial Reviews

Some Christmas was a quick read that left me wanting to know more about Abe and Linc – how they came to be who they are, and what the future may hold for them. I believe that the target (youth) audience, as well as readers outside of that demographic, can relate to the main theme that is found throughout this story. The need to feel connection is something that everyone can relate to, and the drive to attain that can be a powerful force – so formidable, in fact, that, as in Some Christmas, one can sometimes be willing to compromise one’s morals (as Abe did in skipping school to try and re-establish his relationship with Linc) to find that sense of belonging. Abe’s journey of self-awareness (and staying true to self), as well as forgiveness, are qualities from which everyone can learn. Anon, mental health worker.
