Description

Women's lives in the early 1970s are beautifully depicted in Karen Lavut's poignant but unsentimental portrayal of her relationship with painter Christiane Pflug, who killed herself at Easter, 1972. Lavut's presentation is both blunt and loving, searing and lyrical; partly a lament for a lost friend, this book is also a celebration of joy and the fullness of memory.
