Description
The story starts with a failing rock band whose fortune changes overnight when they find the mysterious silver coin. Next, it helps handle some mean girls at sleep-away camp. Follow the curious token as it changes hands over centuries—from Puritan New England to the scavenged junklands of 2467—and discover how much pain a cursed coin can purchase.
Eisner-winning artist MICHAEL WALSH (Star Wars, Black Hammer/Justice League) teams with all-star collaborators—CHIP ZDARSKY (STILLWATER), KELLY THOMPSON (Sabrina the Teenage Witch), ED BRISSON (Old Man Logan), and JEFF LEMIRE (GIDEON FALLS)—on this new ongoing horror anthology series for mature readers.

Many of his books are currently in development for film and television, including both Descender and A.D. After Death at Sony Pictures, Essex County at the CBC, The Underwater Welder and Plutona at Waypoint Entertainment, and Gideon Falls with Hivemind Media, as well as the Eisner-Award winning The Black Hammer Universe at Legendary Entertainment. Michael Walsh is an Eisner Award-winning artist and writer from Southern Ontario, Canada.
In 2013, Michael broke into comics with the Image Comics book series Comeback. Shortly after, Michael contributed art on a follow-up comic to the hit television series The X-Files for IDW. Then, in the following years, he worked primarily with Marvel Comics on superhero properties such as Spider-Man, The Avengers and the X-Men. He also adapted the Star Wars film The Last Jedi as a comic book mini-series. And created art for the DC/Dark Horse crossover event comic, Black Hammer/Justice League.
In 2021, Michael returned to creator-owned comics, creating the hit ongoing Image series THE SILVER COIN and the viral webcomic The Sleep Stories. In 2022, he released his middle-grade fantasy original graphic novel The Oates & The Elphyne, published by Humanoids BIG.
Editorial Reviews
“Top notch, delivering solid character work, incredible artwork, and an intriguing story.”-Horror DNA
“An engrossing tale.”-ComicBook.com
“Dark and twisted and hits on all the right tones.”-Monkeys Fighting Robots
“Takes classic tropes and injects them with a punk rock energy.”-AIPT
“A fantastic modern horror anthology. This first installment is sort of an updated version of Hans Christian Andersen's The Red Shoes, by way of Tenacious D's The Pick of Destiny, but way better than that sounds.”-Comicon
