Description
Jane Yeats, a crime journalist with a passion for hard-boiled adventure, is forced to confront the murder of her lover, Pete, when the imprisoned killer says he falsely confessed to the crime.
About the author
Liz Brady, an editor for twenty years, has a Ph.D. in Virginia Woolf from the University of London. She is the author of Tintype (Fiddlehead Poetry Books) and Marian Engel and Her Works (ECW Press). She is currently at work on her next Jane Yeats novel and a non-fiction work on women writers and alcohol. Apart from the fact that they both live in Toronto, Liz Brady refuses to divulge which attributes she shares with her sleuth.
Editorial Reviews
The action is non-stop; Jane’s angst is as real as it comes; and the plot is superb.
The Midwest Book Review
Brady's writing is fast paced and laced with sardonic wit.
Calgary Herald
This is a terrific follow-up to Brady’s two previous Jane Yeats novels and her Arthur Ellis Award.
