About the author

A. Marin moved from Sarajevo, Bosnia to Canada at the height of the war. Her work is marked by both the war and the exilic experience, although its expression is never shrill, but contained and elegant. Marin is a respected translator and essayist and has seen her work published in magazines such as Salmagundi, TLS, The Paris Review, Canadian Forum, Meta, Gastronomica. She is a contributor to BBC Radio, Radio Netherlands.
