Description

This intriguing book chronicles the study of the human mind from ancient times to the present day. Author John Benjafield, an expert in the field, examines the contributions of scores of psychological thinkers and psychologists, from Pythagoras, Lao-tzu, and Aristotle, to Darwin, Abraham Maslow, and B. F. Skinner. The result is a lively history of ideas that's of interest to general readers as well as academic and public libraries. The book might also be suited for university courses in the history of psychology where primary sources and readings are supplemented by a brief overview.
