Political Science Research in the Middle East and North Africa helps fill this vacuum, focusing specifically on doing research in the one of the most important regions in contemporary world politics. Francesco Cavatorta is Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Université Laval, Québec, Canada. He is co-author (with Vincent Durac) of Politics and Governance in the Arab world (2015) and The International dimension of the failed Algerian transition (2009).
