Description

Priya begs for a piano, but her parents give her a cardboard keyboard instead. Her diligence at “practicing” finally convinces them to buy a real one. Now Priya can’t make the wonderful sounds she heard in her head as she practiced on the cardboard!

About the authors

Manjusha Pawagi has a law degree from the University of Toronto and a journalism degree from Stanford University. She has worked as a reporter for CBC Radio in Charlottetown, PEI, and the Associated Press in St. Louis, Mo.; and as a lawyer for the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto and the Office of the Children’s Lawyer. She was appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice in 2009 and she is currently a family and youth court judge in Toronto.

Liz Milkau is the illustrator of several picture books for children, including Princess Backwards. She loves to travel and spend time at the cottage, and lives in Toronto with her partner, Steve, and two cats and three goldfish.
