Description
Perspectives 2e is a EAP reading skills and practice textbook for advanced EAP students preparing for mainstream academic studies in an English-speaking colleges and universities. The book is organized into two parts. Part I teach academic reading strategies such as annotating text, assessing inferences, and distinguishing between facts and opinions. It includes vocabulary development and practise activities. Part II provides 8 themed reading units, each with three readings drawn from over 20 different fields of study. Each reading is followed by activities to test student comprehension and reading skills.
Although Perspectives 2e is designed for segregated skills instructions, it is also commonly used in paired and integrated skills programs.
