Description

What is perfection compared to the love of a cherished pet?

Mr. Lavender Blue is the perfect dog, and training him for the show ring is the perfect opportunity for twelve-year-old Erin Morris to show that she's responsible enough to have a dog of her own.

If only Erin herself could be as flawless as Blue. Awkward and selfconscious, she sees herself as anything but perfect. Convinced that she needs to be reinvented, Erin enlists the help of her summer pal to give her a makeover in time for the show ring. But Erin is about to learn that there is something far more important than looking perfect. Just when everything is going as it should, an accident forces her to re-examine her values. What is perfection compared to the love of a cherished pet?

Perfect Blue is a revised and updated edition of the title published originally by Stoddart. Called A Taste of Perfection, it was chosen for the New York City Library's Books for the Teen Age list.
