Description

This is R.D. Lawrence’s story of raising a baby beaver in the Canadian wilderness. Parenting the beaver kit for a summer, Lawrence learned fascinating answers to questions about beavers and their behaviour. From the real purpose of tail slapping and scent mounds to the truth about beaver family life. Paddy provides an engaging account of beaver natural history and the bonds of animal companionship.

R.D. Lawrence lived a life of high adventure as a field biologist, journalist, naturalist, homesteader and wildlife rehabilitator. He explored Canada from coast to coast to coast, was a superb storyteller, and an award-winning author of more than thirty books, published in thirty countries and many languages.
