Description

In book three of Penny’s story, the Great War in Europe continues to cast its shadow over the world. Penny’s Aunt Colleen is constantly worried about her brother, Robert, who is serving in France and though Penny’s also worried for Uncle Robert, she’s facing her own more immediate problems. She’s begun school at a posh private academy, where the upper-class girls tease Penny about her poor Irish father. Eventually, Penelope learns to be proud of her heritage from a most unusual source.
