Description
Looking for the path less paddled? Veteran paddler Kevin Callan's seventh book guides us along lesser-known waterways in the lake- and river-rich paddling mecca of Ontario. Tired of counting red canoes like VWs on the highway? Fed up with portage line-ups? Get lost with one of Ontario's most popular canoeing guides. Includes detailed trip descriptions, maps of all access points, accurate portage lengths, tips, advice, history, folklore, and Callan's trademark self-effacing anecdotes of his encounters with bugs, fish, wildlife, whitewater, weather and campsite gremlins.
About the author
Kevin Callan is the author of over 15 books, including his incredibly popular series of paddling guides. Editorial Reviews
I was able to see firsthand the care, research and attention to detail that Kevin puts into his canoe guides. Kevin is a dedicated wilderness canoeist determined to preserve the backcountry and the ancient routes through it.
