Description

This book is intended to ignite the spirit within readers and inspire them to follow their hearts and fulfill their dreams.

Autoethnography is a form of autobiographical personal narrative that explores the writer’s experience of life. It is currently becoming widely used in performance studies, the sociology of new media, novels, journalism, and communication, and is also being applied to fields such as management studies. This book includes Dr. Doetzel’s journal entries, newspaper columns and original songs, in addition to writings from her collected diaries.

This autoethnography tells of her experiences surrounding beating cancer and forgiving a man who took her brother’s life. Her story takes the reader into the heart of a scholar, who went out on a limb by researching spirituality in education and medicine. In the book, she writes about a childhood near-death experience that influenced her choice of research topic, and helped her gain insight about her life mission.
