About the authors
Born in Halifax, LORAINE SPENCER graduated from McGill in 1959 with a B.A. and in 1961 with a B.LS. She has working at the University of Toronto Library and as Divinity Librarian at McGill University. She is at present Assistant Librarian at the Centennial College of Applied Arts and Technology, Scarborough.

SUSAN E. HOLLAND graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1961 with a B.A. After two years post-graduate work in philosophy, and a year as library assistant at the University of Toronto Library, Miss Holland attended library school at the University of Toronto. She is at present Assistant Librarian at the Royal Ontario Museum Library.
