Description
In her highly anticipated debut collection, No Apologies for the Weather, Taylor Leedahl integrates the dynamic traditions of Western Canadian poetry with her evolving pop sensibility, and emerges with a bright and resonant new sound on the literary landscape. This is a work where performance defines identity — that dynamic act of forging who we think/feel we are into an actualized/materialized/inscribed entity where our bodies and minds are fused. All experience is measured against such change'sustenance derived from family and friends, the tensions of sexuality, the rhythms of nature, and impact of fate. Such a vigorous self?interrogation is rare in the work a young poet.
