Description
In this exhibition, Neville Clarke has focused his attention on the pregnant figure in a series of over twenty watercolour portraits completed over a two year period. Clarke's representation of the female figure is unique as he directs his artistic vision to the universal aspects of pregnancy: the physical, emotional and psychological. The initial inspiration for this series came from watching the progress of change in his wife while she was pregnant with their two daughters in the late 1980s.Acknowledgements by David Aurandt.
