Set in 1937, this is the story of four winter months the author spent at a trapping camp in the Nahanni Valley and the trip rafting back to civilization down the flood-swollen Nahanni River.

About the author

A.C. Lewis was born in 1914 in Dickson, Alberta and grew up on a farm in Innisfail. Retired from the pipefitting industry in 1970, Mr. Lewis spent his time working on carpentry projects and reading in Sooke, BC. He currently resides in Calgary, Alberta.
