About the authors

Cassandra Bernard is a born and raised Islander. She has a background in print journalism and freelance writing from UPEI. Cassandra works as an editor and assistant manager in the Hansard office of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island. She also writes for a variety of publications including PEI Living Magazine and East Coast Living Magazine, and a monthly column for The Buzz titled "The New Creative" featuring young people doing cultural things on the Island. Cassandra lives in Desable with her family.

Sean McQuaid is a freelance writer/editor whose clients have ranged from PEI publications like The Buzz to larger publishers like Marvel Comics. He has been active in the Island theatre community since the 1990s as a playwright, director, producer, performer, stage manager, and critic. Born in PEI, where he works as an assistant manager with the Legislative Assembly's Hansard office, Sean lives in Charlottetown with his wife Carol, daughter Elsa, and cats Buffy & Sandy.
