About the author

CAROL GREENWOOD, PhD, is a senior scientist at the Rotman Research Institute at Baycrest. Using brain imaging technology, Greenwood researches the links between diet and dementia and nutrition strategies for brain health. She is also a professor in the department of nutritional sciences at the University of Toronto.

DAPHNA RABINOVITCH edited Canadian Living Cooks Step by Step, winner of a Cuisine Canada award. A chef, recipe developer and food consultant, she was director of the Canadian Living test kitchen for many years.

JOANNA GRYFE is a past member of the Top Chef Canada culinary production team and online food editor for the Rachael Ray Show. She currently holds the position of managing editor of the Food Network Canada website.
