Description

Margery? star-gazer, weather-watcher, alternately proud and self-deprecating asthmatic? has undergone a strange and traumatic transfiguration. Something has happened to her; something she is reluctant to tell, that has transformed her from a slightly unusual young woman into a misanthropic atheist pursued by a wicked god of her own invention. Margery Looks Up chronicles her attempt to elude her god, to escape her past and to rejoin the world, heart-whole and wholly human.

About the author

Meredith Andrew’s first novel, Deadly by Nature, was short-listed for an Arthur Ellis Award. She has written for The Globe and Mail and for the Journal of Wild Culture and has won a Lowell Thomas award for her travel writing. She lives in Toronto near High Park, with her partner, son, and two geriatric companion animals. Margery Looks Up is her second novel.
