Description
A Story of Finding One’s Voice in the World
When Little Wolf becomes separated from her family, she remembers her mama’s advice: If you’re ever lost, find North. But who or what is North?
With a little help from new friends Whale, Goose, and Bear, Little Wolf finds her own way North—and, eventually, back home. In this tale about discovering one’s voice, playful storytelling, gentle humor, and vibrant illustrations create the perfect winter picture book for little wolves everywhere.
About the authors
Nelly Buchet (www.nellybuchet.com) is the author of many books for young readers, including ALA Notable selection Cat Dog Dog, which was chosen by children around the world as the winner of 2021’s Irma Black Award for Excellence in Children's Literature. Nelly has always loved wolves. She wrote her first story about a wolf mother and her pups when she was four. Thankfully, her father helped transcribe it and it became, with time, the book before you know.
MATHIAS BALL was born and raised in a small Canadian town on the coast of Lake Huron. They are a trans-identified artist and a graduate of the Illustration program at Sheridan College. Mathias also illustrated Every Body Is a Rainbow, written by Caroline Carter. Mathias’s dream is to illustrate a world depicting cute characters and lots of dogs. When he isn’t creating art, Mathias is most likely playing with his Shih Tzu, Lily.
