Description

In this haunting book, aid worker Jane Springer provides a clear introduction to the issue of child labor. Among other things she discusses the kinds of work children do and why they do it, and why child labor is an issue in both developing and industrialized countries. Most importantly she lets child workers from around the world speak for themselves, allowing them to share their experiences of suffering, exploitation and deprivation.

Filled with heart-wrenching photographs, this book is the perfect starting point to learn more about this vital humanitarian issue.
