Description

This collection of personal essays takes a refreshing look at how our interaction with the environment—a river, a block of ice, a bolt of lightning, a piece of land—shapes who we are and how we connect with our world. The essayists include writers, environmental activists, and academics. Each essay relates the personal experiences of a special natural place—a place cherished or sorely missed.
