About the authors
Michael Aleksiuk earned his PhD in Zoology at the University of British Columbia, taught human biology as a tenured professor at the University of Manitoba, and then spent several years conducting environmental research and studying human behaviour in the industrial sector. From 19962001 Aleksiuk worked as a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Psychology at the University of Alberta. He is presently an independent scholar and writer.
