Description
A man loses his memory in a car accident. He has no recollection of the months leading up to the accident, but he has also lost the ability to form new memories. Living with his brother and his brother's girlfriend, Richard slowly regains his short-term memory, and begins to piece together his life before the accident. What Richard, and the reader, gradually come to understand is the fact that the relationship between himself and the couple is more complicated than is readily apparent. A Momento between covers, Killing Time is a literary mystery, where the reader is just a step or two ahead of the main character in unravelling the clues to his identity, past, and possible future.
About the author
A native New Yorker, Hank Schachte's passion for film, design and writing landed him on Canada's west coast, where he has written for the stage (The War Against Reason; Salut au Monde), radio plays for the CBC, and fiction. A licensed pilot and vintage Saab aficionado, he lives on Saturna Island where he flies his Cessna and collects sports cars.
