Joëlle Dreidemy was born in Saint-Avold, France and now lives in Paris. She studied illustration and animation at the Emile Cohl Art School in Lyon, and has worked as an illustrator since 2004. She has illustrated numerous picture books, which have been published in English, French, and Korean, and she also does work for magazines, greeting card companies, and educational publishers. When she's not illustrating, Dreidemy enjoys traveling, reading, playing the piano, practicing contemporary dance, karate and kwan ki do, skiing, and snowboarding.
