I Can Have My Picnic in Patch of Roses is a whimsical assortment of numbers, animals and environments. This counting picture book is both educational and entertaining. Its bright fantastical watercolours are full of the imaginative detail children love, and adults will enjoy the clever humour, too. The child is invited to meet the creatures in various environments, from the rainforest to the desert, sharing carrots with parrots, pears with bears and muffins with puffins. The humorous rhymes and comical illustrations are assured to stimulate the child's imagination.
